Habits than can change your life


Habits are the set of chores that you do on regular basis, so they are effectively an integral part of your life, but choosing the right habits can be a difficult task. Habitats can make or break an individual.


 Often they are the sole reason for a successful and unsuccessful individual. Developing the right habits early can go a long way in sorting out your life's difficult times. 

Knowing what to do with your time and which habits to adopt can be hard at times, but this is what this blog will be about. 

Here are some habits that if you adopt, will have a very positive impact on your life. 

1) Practice Gratitude

Accept by heart that you are privileged, that there are many millions out there in the world that are deprived of what you have. Acknowledging your place of privilege will help to soften your heart towards those who are needier and less privileged than you. 

Practising gratitude will help to bolster your image and character among your family and friends which in turn will create a feedback loop of positivity.

2) Be Mindful of What You Are Eating 

Eating is the most essential thing we do daily, keeping in check what are you eating because overeating or eating without hunger can and will have a serious negative impact on your life going ahead. These negative impacts will include gaining weight, which will trigger body image problems or stress/anxiety and down the line, there'll be health-related issues like diabetes, blood pressure or heart issues.

Paying attention to the foods you eat can promote better digestion, keep you full with less food, and influence wise decisions about what you will eat in the future. It also helps you get out of unhealthy habits around food and diet.

Keep a balanced diet that has every required nutritious value that your body requires.

3) Exercise

Exercise is defined as the exercise that moves the muscles and causes the body to burn calories. There are different types of physical activity, such as swimming, running, jogging, walking, and dancing, to name a few. Being active has been shown to have many health benefits, both physically and mentally.

Exercise is not all about losing weight or keeping in shape but at the end of the day, it's a lifestyle choice. Regular exercise will keep your body in check and will lessen the stresses of modern life can have.

4) Start Writing Down A Memoir

Memoir isn't only for famous individuals, anyone can write them, writing a memoir or a personal diary will help to regulate your emotions which will positively impact your outlook. 

It provides a way to share your experiences, worldviews, lessons and wisdom of life with others. It connects you with others who have experienced the same or similar situations, providing encouragement, comfort, and inspiration. It helps others understand that they are not alone in their experience.

Plus the act of writing in itself is a skill that has and will always have a monetary application for someone. You can make this habit of yours your income stream. 

5) Get 8 Hours of Sleep Each Day 

Sleep along with eating is one of the most essential stuff we do every day. It is advised to get 8 hours of sleep each night. Not getting this much or getting too much sleep both can have negative consequences for your physical and mental health.

Getting enough sleep also increases your productivity by making you more energetic and giving you the time you need to rest. Good mood also helps our lives, and good sleep makes people feel better. Getting enough sleep also allows our minds to function properly and better.

6) Start Giving Compliments 


Small compliments can go a long way in improving someone and your day. Compliments are simply sweet and nice gestures that if you others, you'll get some positive gestures back.

7) Take Up Reading

Reading is probably one of the best habits you can adopt because as they as say "Books are the man's best friend" and this saying is probably true. You'll have a new topic to talk about and have conversations about, you won't have a single boring day in your life again

Reading is important because it develops your mind and gives you vast knowledge and lessons of life. It helps you better understand the world around you. It keeps your mind active and enhances your creativity. Reading also gives you  communication skills and  Reading improves vocabulary and develops enhance memory. Reading will make you make aware of your own place in time and space.

8) Take Out Time For Family

Family time includes any number of hours spend with your immediate family members like father, mother, wife, children, brothers, sisters etc.

Some benefits of having a family include increased well-being and satisfaction. Studies have shown that spending time with your family can help reduce stress and anxiety, lead to a healthier lifestyle, and prolong your life. The family motivates you to be your own best version.

Family support is important to an individual for a variety of reasons, most of which is related to the well-being of the individual. Family is essential for people because it can help a person's physical, emotional and mental health, and what it offers to people is not found anywhere else.

In most cultures and religions of the world, it is obligatory to have a good relationship with your elders especially with one's parents.

Family time can often involve multiple people performing multiple tasks/chores like eating meals together, cleaning house/ cars, bringing groceries, enjoying vacations or picnic, helping with school/educational related work and while traveling just to name a few.

If somehow you don't have any members of immediate family near you, then having a better and working relationship with closest relative will do the job.
