Smartphone Apps That've Helped Me

Technologies revolutionizes the way we live and how we go about our day to day lifes. Apart from internet and perhaps few other technologies, none have had a more profound impact on our modern, interconnected and globalised world than the smartphones.

By mobile apps or smartphone apps, I mean, apps that are available on android play store or iPhone's apple store for free or are paid but usually can be accessed by giving very little fee. These apps are built by mobile apps developers by mobile apps builder and often undergo frequent updates.

Most of the apps that'll be listed here, will work fine regardless of what type, model, make or software your smartphone uses but incase a android app keeps crashing, it might because you haven't updated your software yet or there's some other serious issue with your smartphone.

Here's a list of apps that I've personally used and have found useful for various tasks.

1) Ubersuggests

Ubersuggests is online platform and a google chrome extension where amateur and proffesional content creators like can get 'Keywords', 'Content Ideas', 'Insights into CPC, Search Volume & Competion Data'. Content can be of various types like video content for video based platforms or written blog/article content for your own website or someone else writing platform.

Much of the site or tools are free to use for 3 times each, than you have to get a paid version but worry not, that's not that expensive.

This online platform or Google extension also exist in the form of an app. Best part for me, and why I really recommend using Ubersuggests for new content creators especially bloggers/article writers is because its sort of all in one place where you can get trained, do research like figuring out your nieche, find marketing tools, get a SEO analayzer, get highly rated backlinks and much more than this.

For newbies YouTubers, Bloggers/Article Writers this app makes life much easier as I earlier pointed out that this apps gives them 'all in one' place from training to marketing and everything that's in between.

In short, if you don't anything about blogging or SEO, this app is for you.

2) Plagerism Remover

Plagerism Remover is a semi free online tool (it's also an app) that allows writers to check, review and remove any plagerism that may exist in their writing through the help of its powerful catalogue of internet's written record.

I'm a full time blogger, so like any online writer, I need a good and trustworthy source of checking whether there is any plagerism in my blogs content or not. Plagerism Remover, does that for me without any fiancal cost which means it's mostly free with paid version available but not necessarily needed.

If you're English language writer, writing in any format or in any nieche, this app is for you. It has very vast array of words, spelling checker and above all plagerism checker that's effective in its working.

I personally used this app, which has made my blog writing process much easier, the app has a inbuilt capacity to detect and change any plagerised piece of writing.

It's resource rich artificial intelligence tool coupled with its auto generated paraphrasing capabilities makes this app one of a kind. It's user interface is quite attractive and pleasing to use.

3) Payonner

Payonner is a American company that specialises in the digital financial services industry and provides services like international payments, online money transfers and much more.

Payonner, unlike, PayPal has managed to become a truly global service by taping large countries that were previously left out of online business due to lack of payment services. This large countries Include countries like Brazil, Philippines and Pakistan.

Like PayPal, Payonner can also be connected to your freelance account major freelance platforms like Upwork and Freelancer, thus giving it additional benefits in comparison with its competitors.

Personally, Payonner has given my opportunity in making me earn through this blog and other freelance platforms. It's been a literal life saving for me because in a country where I live there are no international digital payment or any other payment services like PayPal.

4) Inshot & Capcut

Inshot or as its known by its full name "InShot - Video Editor", is a photo and video editing app, it's one of the most versatile and easily operated apps in editing industry, this goes for picture editing as well as video editing.

If you're a content creator on Instagram or any other short video platform like Tiktok or Snakvideo, I cannot recommend this app to you. After using it for years, I still can't believe how much can be done using its free version.

Having used this app for years now, I have become fond of its features like 'inbuilt screen setting allowing user to crop videos without reducing its quality', 'various filters & effects', 'it's background changing feature' and much more.

You can also add any audio/music you want in your video. The inbuilt processing speed and resolution of the final video is quite impressive considering other smartphone editing apps.

The second app that I'll like to mention here is Capcut, unlike Inshot, this app in its entirety is for video editing and this cannot be compared with the later. Capcut has probably has most features out of all known mobile video editing apps and like Inshot, it's user interface is easy to use. Unlike most other mobile video editing apps, the feature of inbuilt watermark is optional on this app.

Having started using this app only recently,
I've found it quite helpful in making trendy videos with wide array of video editing techniques like number of features. It's must have if you're using platforms like Tiktok, Instareels or YouTube Shorts.

For me, I prefer, inshot over Capcut because I've used it for years now and thus have sufficient understanding of working this app. Regardless of that, both apps are available for free (both have paid version but for newbies almost all of the things newbies need can be done on  free version) and are easily accessible for newbies in video editing industry.

5) YouTube

This app doesn't need any introduction. For people still living under a rock, YouTube is a American video sharing platform that doubles as a social media site. It is easily the most well known app that's listed here.

YouTube was perhaps among one of the first social media platforms that utilised the potential of educational learning over the Internet, now popularly known as, E-Learning.

I've been using YouTube for over a decade now and have learned many many subjects, both for academic circulum and for my interests like video editing and blog writing.

Through millions of available and free videos, I've followed learned alot about various things like Emotional Intelligence, Deep History, Paleontology, Contemporary History, Geopolitics, Biology,Sociology & Anthropology, Astrophysics and stuff like that.

Personally, I think, Educational YouTube Channels such as  "Crash Course" and "Dekho Suno Jano" have had a deep impact on me as they've put my focus on shared human experience such as "Human History",  "History Of Science", "History Of Philosophy", 'Literature" and much more.

I prefer, YouTube over all other social media platforms being it still puts weight weightage to quality of content and and how much of quality content is already on there already.
